Self-contained Systems (SCS) stellen einen Ansatz zur Modularisierung von Systemen dar. Sie übernehmen viele gute Ideen des Microservices-Konzepts. Eine wichtiges Element ist die Frontend-Integration auf der UI-Ebene als Alternative zur Integration im Backend. Darum geht es in zwei Podcast-Episoden. In dieser ersten Episode stellen Falk Hoppe und Till Schulte-Coerne im Gespräch mit Eberhard Wolff das SCS-Konzept vor. Sie diskutieren zudem die Vor- und Nachteile der Frontend-Integration sowie Single-Page Apps (SPA) als eine mögliche Implementierung des Frontends.

Principal Consultant

Falk Hoppe is Principal Consultant at INNOQ and works for the company now over 12 years. He has a lot of experience in Web Architecture, Frontend and Backend Development. His focus lies on UI Integration, HTTP/REST Communication and related technologies like Caching and Cloud Technologies.

Senior Consultant

Till Schulte-Coerne is a Senior Consultant at INNOQ and has been implementing web applications with various technologies and frameworks for many years. His focus is on the architecture and implementation of scalable, ergonomic web applications. Furthermore, he is co-initiator of the frontend architecture variant ROCA. He is a regular trainer for workshops especially on the topic of web architecture and web frontend technologies and has also written several articles on this topic.

Alumnus

Eberhard Wolff worked as a Fellow at INNOQ until July 2023, advising clients on architectures and technologies. His technological focus is on modern architecture approaches – cloud, continuous delivery, DevOps, or microservices often play a significant role. He is the author of over a hundred articles and books, including on topics such as Microservices, Microservice Technologies, and Continuous Delivery.
