The Nature of Lisp

This is an excellent article explaining why so many people — including me — like Lisp so much, describing the key benefits in terms known to most C/C++/Java/XML programmers (via Holger Arendt).

As an aside: In this old java.net blog post, James Duncan Davidson explains some background about choosing XML for Ant. I’m pretty sure I know what his current choice is.
