Visual Thesaurus

In the last few days I had to write several English texts regarding topics I wasn’t used to or didn’t know much about. I consulted my paper thesaurus on several words and meanings in order to produce something comprehensible. Many times I thought “this should be a lot easier” and I remembered a software, which I stumbled across some years ago:

http://www.visualthesaurus.com/

Besides being a great thesaurus, the most intriguing feature is its user interface. I’ve always loved to produce and use mind maps as much as possible. Using mind maps in the context of word meanings seems to be the most natural way of realizing a thesaurus software. Brilliant!

Ordered!
