					I object to introducing more acronyms, despite my respect for Nick Gall's opinion. SOA is ill-defined, but usually either refers to a rather abstract, high-level goal or to a technical architecture (the one that has never been formally defined, but forms the basis for WSDL/SOAP/WS-*). I see "Technical SOA" and REST as alternatives for achieving high-level SOA goals. That's enough confusion for my taste; no need to complicate things even more ...

					My prediction is that Gartner will predict a new xOA term every two to three years in order to huddle the masses around confusion and make vendors jump up and down with marketing literature that bring empty promises. Long live REST.
