A long list of 80s video clips at YouTube; this one remains my all-time favorite [via jwz]
I’m currently becoming more and more addicted to a British band called Keane — nice to see they’ve got a good taste in selecting their computer manufacturer as well.
I’m even later than Wolfgang in linking to this video, but it’s totally brillant: While my Ukulele Gently Weeps.
IT&W continues to make me happy: David Gilmour, live, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (26MB and worth every single byte).
Watch two British noblemen in action: Commander David Gilmour and Sir Bob Geldof, Comfortably Numb, 34MB quicktime (via IT&W).
One day I’ll start a music blog.
This seems to be the final word on removing the stupidly volume-limited EU iPod models.
I have always been a big fan of Mike Oldfield’s original Tubular Bells, but one thing that I always found sad is that even with the 25 year anniversary digitally re-mastered CD edition, the sound quality is rather poor (understandable, as the record has been made in 1973).
Only recently I found out about the 2003 edition, where Oldfield re-recorded Tubular Bells using the original instruments wherever possible. Sadly, the CD is not really a CD, just useless crap; but luckily, there’s a DVD audio edition. Whether you prefer the original or this re-recording is a matter of taste. For me, suffice it to say that I have only listened to it about 27 times since last Thursday.
