Although the car was a total write-off, the driver was miraculously unhurt. Then Volvo agency created a remarkable advertisement: Under the photo of the wreck, they placed the words, “And he walked away unscathed!” BMW followed a week later with a similar photo of the wreck and the comment: “If he’d been driving a BMW, he’d never have left the road!” But Rover had the last word with the phrase: “If he’d been driving a Landrover, he would’ve been able to drive back up again!”
